Everything about my journey to Oaxaca with her was steeped in respect, care, knowledge, wisdom, love and joy. From our first zoom call, through her meeting me at the airport, our time in Oaxaca city learning from Zapotec guides, on up into the mountains and all the work we did there, and then down to the beach for a few days of integration, everything, absolutely everything was held with Sarah’s constant attention and care. Her loving relationship with our curandero family was obvious. My experience in the mountains was profound and still lives in me all these months later. II had an absolutely incredible time traveling in Oaxaca, Mexico, with Sarah and Beto. The culture, sights, sounds, and flavors in the city were expansive and stimulating and provided ground for the retreat to San Jose del Pacifico, where time slowed and senses deepened.
